The GR Yaris covers itself in PH glory, with the Clio 182 Trophy only a whisker behind.

No, this isn’t a normal twin test. For starters, we already have a winner, with PHers voting the GR Yaris the best hot hatch of the last 25 years. But unlike our previous sports car vote, where the Lotus Elise S1 scored a landslide victory, the hot hatch poll was far more competitive. Our top ten featured the Ford Fiesta ST Mk7, Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk5 and the FK8 Honda Civic Type R, most separated by only a handful of votes. Yet it was the Renaultsport Clio 182 Trophy that ran the Toyota GR Yaris to the wire, only to be pipped at the final hurdle. It only seemed fair to bring both along to a very wet Brecon Beacons...
