This 903.75 lb deadlift is still the USAPL American record. It is incorrectly labeled 935 lb in 1996 in some other YouTube videos. I was at this meet. Mark was on the USA Olympic Team at the time, and his coach Terry Todd was with him. Mark originally called for less than 900 on his third attempt, but a lady in the crowd yelled, "We want 900!" Everyone joined in yelling for 900, and Mark changed his attempt to this successful 903.75!
