It’s over. the Denver Nuggets have emerged victorious over the Miami Heat with a final score of 94-89, solidifying their status as the champions of the league after 47 years of being bad.
This was of course done under the guidance of the two-time NBA MVP, Nikola Jokić. the Nuggets fought back from a 10-point deficit in the second quarter to seal the series with a 4-1 W. The Heat, refusing to go down without a fight, rallied in the final minutes, until an unfortunate turnover by Miami's shining star, Jimmy Butler, provided Denver with a golden opportunity to secure the game-winning free throws.
Nikola Jokic during the Game 3 victory over Miami had one of the most impressive statlines in the finals I have ever seen, where he achieved the distinction of recording the first-ever 30-20-10 triple-double. Recognizing his extraordinary contributions throughout the series, he was rightfully awarded with the title of finals MVP, boasting an insane average of 30.2 points, 14.0 rebounds, and 7.2 assists. Remarkably, this also means Jokic is the lowest drafted player to ever win the coveted finals MVP award at pick 41, catapulting him into discussions among the top 10 greatest centers of all time.
We cannot go through this video without talking about Jamal Murray, who averaged an impressive 21.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 10.0 assists per game in the finals. Which sparked a conversation about Jokic and Jamal being one of the great duos of all time. Now, aaron Gordon, lets erase this game he had today from our memories and talk about how he was BULLYING the heat this series averaging 17 and 8 in the finals on 67% shooting.

Jimmy Butler’s performance in the finals can only be described as absolute dogshit, he proves you can’t do everything on the court after carrying the heat as the 8th seed to the finals averaging 29, 7 and 6 with 2 steals and having a 56 point game against the Bucks. He averaged 22, 5 and 6 in the finals on 41% from the field and shot 5-18 in an elimination game AND lost the ball in the final seconds of the game WITH BAM RIGHT BEHIND HIM and handed Denver the win. Gabe Vincent had his moments but jesus christ 3-13 is assss. Kyle lowry couldn’t hit a shot to save his life and Tyler Herro didn’t even bloody play after being cleared for injury.
After a combined 28 seasons and 24 different teams Ish Smith and Jeff Green win their first ring. Christian Braun wins a ring after winning the NCAA championship last year and was actually pretty impressive in this series. Jack White, you probably haven’t even heard of this dude, he averaged legit a point and a rebound this season, but he’s the lastest aussie nba champion since delly and that’s gotta count for something I guess. And Jokic, just wants to go home.
With this young core of Murray (26), Jokić (28), Michael Porter Jr (24), and Aaron Gordon (27). Coach Malone confidently states, "We're not satisfied with just one championship."
Could this team turn into a dynasty?
