In this video, I remove and install new front wheel bearings on a 2008 Honda Civic. I use a loan tool from O'Reilly Auto Parts to complete the job. This single tool enabled me to remove the hub & wheel bearing then install the wheel bearing and hub.

This was my first time completing this job and it was more challenging than anticipated. However, with the correct tools you can get the job done yourself.

In full disclosure, I took the spindle assembly on the passenger side to a shop to have the bearing and hub pressed in. I had trouble driving the bearing in uniformly & destroyed it in the process. Not wanting to repeat that $100 problem, I spent $50 to have a shop safely and squarely press in a new bearing and hub.

I do believe the loan tool enables you to install the bearing safely and correctly (as was the case on the driver side), but I also think the circular motion of the drive washers can put unequal pressure on the bearing which can cause damage.
