We continue work on our 1986 Suzuki Samurai (Also called a Suzuki Jimny, Suzuki Sierra, or Maruti Gypsy) by cutting out the damaged rocker panels and welding in some heavy duty rock sliders.

Having rock sliders on your off road rig is a must if you plan on doing any sort of rock crawling. It helps prevent the exact damage you can see in the rocker panel from this video.

The strongest way to mount rock sliders is by welding them directly to the frame. In our case we need to replaced the damaged rocker panels so we opted to weld them in directly to the body. This will provide plenty of strength and since this little Suzuki Samurai is so light weight it will slide right over rocks with no problems. This is a definitely a huge upgrade for our little Suzuki Samurai rock crawler.
