We have the keys to the brand new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe Overland and decided to take it off roading! The Grand Cherokee 4Xe is actually a hybrid! That's right! This 4Xe has a 4 cylinder turbo engine with a full hybrid system. But don't let that fool you. The 4Xe Grand Cherokee Overland packs 375 horsepower and 470 torque! Also the Overland has adaptive air ride suspension and the Off Road 2 mode with raises the ride height tremendously. The off road settings and drive modes with four wheel drive make the 4Xe Grand Cherokee very capable. We were very impressed with the low speed crawling abilities and the amount of traction over rocks and loose dirt. The 4X4 system worked great to maintain traction and the down hill assist made it easy coming down. We took this brand new Grand Cherokee 4Xe off road and was very nimble in the trails. Short overhangs and high ground clearance also made the super good! The hybrid power was really nice as well. I like how some times we were actually off roading in EV mode and it was silent! Very cool to just have the electric motors do all the work and give you instant torque. Off roading in this Hybrid Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe Overland was really fun and I think the hybrid technology gives it the best of both worlds. Amazing power delivery and efficient and just an overall good blend for luxury and off road capabilities.
