In this video, I test charging my 2024 Kia EV9 on a Tesla Supercharger equipped with the Magic Dock, which contains a Tesla J3400/NACS connector to CCS1 adapter built into the charger, allowing anyone with a CCS1-equipped vehicle to charge at the Supercharger.

Because of the higher-than-normal battery voltage of the Hyundai/Kia/Genesis e-GMP vehicles (including Ioniq5/6, EV6/9, GV60 and other electrified Genesis models), there is an incompatibility between the "400V" architecture of the existing Superchargers and the "800V" architecture of the e-GMP vehicles. This, in the past, has meant that e-GMP vehicles either could not charge at all using the Magic Dock or would experience significantly reduced charging speeds.

Will the EV9 be able to charge at full speed at a Tesla Supercharger? Will it work at all?? Let's find out.
