Along with the laser and the water jet, CNC milling is another great way to turn 2D or 3D vector designs into physical objects, using a router controlled by a computer to cut material. Sean goes through the basic background of the process and walks through setting up and running a job on the Shapeoko, MakeHaven's smaller CNC mill in the wood shop, which is a great starting place for making a design out of wood. He also goes through the basics of VCarve, a more powerful piece of software for generating CNC toolpaths.
