Drum rudiments are the building blocks of drumming. The flam is one of the most useful we have right next to single strokes, double strokes, and paradiddles. The drum rudiments are a language. Once you learn them, they open up completely new opportunities in your playing. But far too often I see drummer's half learning their rudiments. Never taking that step to apply them to the drum-set.

This lesson is taken from a public livestream I did in April of 2022. In it, I show you a very practical and methodical way to break out the flam so that you can use it in new and creative ways. The really great thing...the method I teach in the lesson works with ANY rudiment or sticking. I hope you enjoy the lesson.
