Piping up an oil boiler and magnaclean in pressfit. Pressfit is the new way of doing plumbing pipework in copper. It’s often used as it’s cleaner without adding flux, sometimes quicker and does make life easy.

The boiler is an oil floor standing oil boiler which gives great access to plumb up inside to how I like it.

A magnet is fitted onto the pipework to catch all the dirt and sludge in the heating system to prevent blockages.

The fittings are pressed or clamped together onto the copper pipes using a tool which clamps the fittings to the pipework. These fittings have a rubber seal on the inside and are clamped with very high force!

I am yet to see to leak on the press fittings I’ve installed so it’s a winner for me!

Press gun used is the novopress using Pegasus press fittings from embrass and peerless.
