A break from the snow!

I spent a half day at Deep Creek hot spring. The area was clean and the soak felt good. It is a clothing optional area, but nothing vulgar happened.
The biggest thing to look out for are the ground squirrels. They have learned that backpacks and tents have food in them and they have very little fear of humans.

I then did another half day walk to the Joshua Inn.
The folks there went out of their way to cater to hikers. $5 gets you a hot shower with fresh towel and washcloth, shampoo provided, no time limit. Erica added a deli to her bar so she could have food for hungry hikers. Alan picks hikers up and drops them off at the trail, always with a smile. The camping is free for hikers, donations are accepted. There's a charging station for devices. The wifi is pretty good. They said they will accept and hold resupply boxes too.

I then had no problem getting to Cajon pass. I even arrived a day earlier than planned.
