Driving a manual gearbox car can add to the driving enjoyment in a huge way. Here we discuss what it means to us and how 'heal and toe' downshifts aren't just for the race track. Blipping the throttle to make gear changes smoother is not only better on the track or when driving quickly, but great fun too!

This video was shot a while back and after some recent questions on the use of foot pedals for downshifts, I thought I'd upload this video as it gives a good idea of what I enjoy so much about driving an analogue, manual transmission car. The Peugeot 205 XS is a wonderful car to drive and enjoy but heal and toe shifts can be done in pretty much any car with a manual gearbox.
