Luckily there were no life threatening injuries in the collision and to my knowledge all 3 crew members that were hospitalized are doing ok! (via First Coast News published 4/15/24)

Also before anybody comments about PTC or whatnot, please read the following.
The Background (As far as I am aware):
Due to ongoing maintenance in the region, CSX had disabled the Folkston Control Point, including switches and signals, meaning all operations through the work zone were done through EC-1's, a form of track warrant. *This means that all trains proceeding through this control point would have PTC temporarily disabled to allow them to pass 'at danger'.* M441 and M209 earlier in the day had passed with no difficulty whatsoever, and proceeded through with restricted speed. As I032 eventually entered the picture, which is one of CSX's priority trains to North Bergen, NJ, they had a switchman check and line the switch for them. I'd assume that gave both the dispatcher and the train crew the confidence to continue normal operations through the control point, however as you can see, that was clearly not the case. There must've been some form miscommunication because I032 diverged onto the Jesup Subdivision, straight into the stopped L743. We are very lucky that this was not worse, and I am glad that the crews are ok.
