Why Banning Nigerian Music in Cameroon is a Bad Idea!

Over the past few months, there has been a crazy buzz on the internet on the issue of banning Nigerian music in Cameroon.

This was made popular by the controversial statements from prominent Cameroonian entertainers like Pancho C.Y International and Stanley Enow.

While I can say that some parts of their remarks on the issue can be simply classified as sentimental and invariably seen as hate speech (especially the comments of Pancho CY international), I honestly understand where this is coming from, and I sympathize with the present condition of the Cameroonian music industry.

In this video, we are going to understand why banning Nigerian music in Cameroon will not solve the industry’s current problems. And also, we will be looking at better solutions to their existing problems.
