Community is a series that needs little introduction. It's a critically revered and beloved series for many, myself included, and rose to prominence due to a wondrous combination of fantastic characters, sharp humor, loving homages, insane production design....honestly this list could go on. That's how great the show is. And the entire reason for this video! Or rather, videos. There's so much to love about Community that one video could never have done it justice.

In this Part 1 of a two part series, this will go over how Community took the world by storm. Why it was so funny, why the characters, flaws and all, worked so well, and how each season evolved over time. It's going to include behind the scenes footage, quotes from Dan Harmon itself, and deleted scenes. You name it, and it's probably here. I adore this show, just like many of you do, and it deserves every single ounce of praise I could humanly muster.

This part will focus on the first half of the series; Seasons 1, 2, and 3. In other words, the seasons many will agree to be the series at its peak.

But as amazing as Community is, it never had quite the same impact that many of it's peers did. And for good reason. While the show was amazing, there are many reasons why it couldn't match titans like the Office, Parks and Rec, and 30 Rock. And many of the issues that affect the later seasons are in these three seasons. As they say, the devil is in the details, and as soon as the show started to gain momentum, there was only so much that the team could do to handle everything that was thrown at it. This will only cover part of that story, and for the rest, I ask for your patience for Community, Part 2: The Fall of a Modern Classic.
