From the Raleigh Civil War Roundtable’s documentary, "The Civil War in North Carolina: Battles for the Coast, 1862." One film in a series. Originally released on DVD in 2021 to generate donations for preservation efforts.

Filmed in 2021 at the New Bern Civil War Battlefield Park and Craven County Fairgrounds.

James E. White III, is an historian and former newspaper editor, educator, principal, and college professor. Jim has penned several works of nonfiction, including Portsmouth Divided: The Civil War on Portsmouth Island and the History Press’ New Bern and the Civil War, along with some historical fiction.
