Tim Burton is one of the greatest and most unique story tellers of our time. While his many movies combine the use of gothic, stylistic and German expressionism, he simply cannot be defined and placed into a single category. His films, while usually dark, make us feel like we’re not alone just because we may feel or look different— which is how he felt growing up in Burbank, California (a suburb of Los Angeles).
