Additive manufacturing using 3D printers allows for designers to add meta-data, logos, and fine-textures to their parts without affecting the geometry. Either through SOLIDWORKS 3D texture tools or software that specializes in organic texture generation, the benefit of adding textures to printed parts is seeing adoption in a wide range industries and applications. To achieve the best texture on a part however certain design factors must be accounted for.
