Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin provided a unified voice for the Cup Series drivers last year, regularly communicating publicly their concerns about safety issues with the Next Gen car. They were always on the same page.

However, this week the two weren't anywhere near being on the same page as evidenced by the Joe Gibbs Racing driver's remarks on his podcast, where he openly admitted he was throwing the 2014 Cup Series champion under the bus for a rule change implemented in 2023 that many fans are now complaining about.
