Australian buyers have been asking for it, and now it's finally here in factory-approved right-hand drive. Say hello to the 2024 Ford F-150. That's right; the best-selling Ford Ranger now has a big brother Down Under.

Of course, the F-150 is no stranger to North America, where it too dominates the sales charts, but it hasn't been officially sold in Australia for some time. But that's just changed with a local 'remanufacturing' program that follows in the tyre tracks of Walkinshaw's successful one that's so far delivered the rivalling Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado.

In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist David Morley attends the new F-150's national media launch to find out if the big American truck was worth waiting for. And even if it has been, it still has an equally large price tag – not that that's deterred anyone shopping in this segment before.
