5 things to know about Wall mounted home automation tablets

Here is an episode I've been excited to make for a while...I recently replaced an old Ultrasync security panel with a tablet to control Home Assistant. I used the old Ultrasync+ power cable, adapted it to USB, and then started researching mounts, software, tablets, etc. In this video I show the hardware, mount, and software I chose, but then go through some of the other stuff I learned about. I've had this mounted for less than a month and I and others are already getting a surprising amount of use out of it, so thought sharing what I learned would be useful.

Update: Followup video to answer some of what I left out of this video:    • 6 Home Automation Scenarios where Wal...

My setup uses:
Software: Home assistant as the backend, Fully Kiosk Browser as the frontend
The mount is this smarthomemount: https://amzn.to/2DCtEcf
