From one day to the next in Ukraine, millions of people became refugees,
I took the best weapon I could use, my camera, and left for Ukraine. During my time there, I was overcome by a wave of deep pain and sadness.

From one day to the next, millions of people became refugees, leaving their homes and cities… in shatters, piles of dust and darkness… leaving their families… Abrupt separations… ties cut, in the uncertainty of time.

I documented so many tears... but also some innocent, true and hopeful smiles... from grandparents,parents and children… who were fitting into this new way of life, improvised and unforeseen, for which the war had not warned them for.
