Are you considering buying a car lift? Two post lift vs. four post lift? Safety vs. Convenience? You are probably considering these and other factors. Specifically, you may be wondering how could you lift the front or rear axles of your car on a 4 post lift to do suspension work... Or, perhaps you already own a 4 post lift and are considering what to buy next to lift the front or rear axles - scissor jacks, air jacks, or the very expensive rolling air jacks.

In this video, I will show that you don't need to purchase anything else beyond what you probably already have - a jack and jack stands - in order to do suspension work using a four post lift as if you were working with a two post lift - but with the added safety of a 4 post lift.

Sure, if money were no object, then you could purchase a $2,000 rolling air jack. However, even then you will have the huge jack right below the suspension or the differential curtailing your work.

The method I demonstrate takes just a few more minutes to setup, but it is just as safe without the bulky rolling air jack blocking your view or access - besides, it costs far less. Compared to scissor and air jacks, it is a lot safer.
