Update 7.3.5 has finally fixed the Manticore, this airborne SMG is now worth using. With the sustain and evasion you need to make floating around viable. Updates included final blows while airborne or sustained damage against more difficult targets grant a void overshield and partially reload the mag. This can be refreshed with further damage. A huge change is also enemies will be less accurate against you while the anti-grav thrusters are active, this makes all the difference. Its now harder to get shot with a slow straife while airborne than it is running at full speed boots on the ground.

Full Patch notes:
Must now be airborne for 0.5 seconds and deal damage with the weapon to activate the perk. (This prevents accidental activation while running down stairs or doing small jumps.)
Special reload to disengage antigrav thrusters.
While antigrav thrusters are engaged, combatants will be less accurate when targeting the player.
Catalyst: Final blows and sustained damage with this weapon while airborne grant a Void overshield and return ammo to the magazine.
