Short answer is yes. Hunting is for everyone, but should it be? Hunting takes patience, skill, and commitment. 99% of successful hunts start well before the sun comes up and with multiple days of planning.

Hunting is NOT about killing. It is about PROVIDING. If one is hunting for the kill, chances are you are in for a very long and unfulfilling day. Along with providing hunting should be a religious experience, whatever that religion may be, out in nature and maybe finding a bit of calm in your personal storm. Every trip in the mountains or the woods should be a learning experience, whether about yourself, nature, or the animals themselves.

If you haven't hunted before should you start? Absolutely! Accept the difficulty ahead, start a new journey. And EVERYONE’s journey is different and start from a different place. Of course if you are an experienced hunter that journey is never ending.
Begin with finding reputable, responsible stewards of the land. Find courses that line up with your ideals. Find guides for those same reasons.

Hunting is hard. As everything worthwhile in life is.
