In this video I discuss a few variants of the bedroll used during WWII. The first version is probably the most common style used. The second is another style utilizing the shelter half as a waterproof cover. I threw in the version where I try putting everything into the roll because I wanted to prove a point. They end up being too heavy and too wide and look ridiculous. The last version in the video is the way the 7th army was told to roll their bedrolls. It consisted of 2 blankets, a sleeping bag, any additional articles of clothing and then the shelter half. This is also not exclusive to the 3rd Infantry Division. It’s appropriate for some impressions during specific points in the war. If you need any further assistance then this I’m not too sure what to tell you. If the farm boys with a 3rd grade education could figure it out, so can you. Please don’t over complicate this, it’s a bedroll.
