We hitched up "Momo" and headed to the Florida Keys.

Our first destination was at Sugarloaf KOA for four nights. We did an overnight stop at Woodsmoke Camping Resort in Fort Myers, to break up the trip, since we try not to be on the road no more then 5 hours.

The weather was not normal for the Keys. The first two nights was the coldest it had been in 20 years. Iguanas were falling out of the trees. After the third night it started to warm up to normal "Key like" weather.

After leaving Sugarloaf KOA, we headed to Sunshine Key RV Resort and Marina. Sunshine Key is a Thousand Trails/Encore campground. Since we had a free Thousand Trails membership from Lazy Days, it only cost us $20 per night! Our stay in Sunshine Key was for four nights.

Heading home, we had reservations for an overnight stop at Whispering Palms Campground in Sebastian, Florida. Even after confirming over the phone that we were a 43.5 ft long fifth wheel, they assured us that we would fit fine. WRONG! There was absolutely no way. They actually had to bend over a street sign just so we could get back out of the campground! Needless to say we were extremely frustrated. However, the campground did refund us later. We ended up staying at a Cracker Barrel, which was our first time boondocking. I'm so happy we have a big battery bank and an inverter.
