DIY Air Heater. Aluminum-finned Ceramic Air Heater with stand. on/off grid. AC/DC powered. low watt, high heat, space heater. personal space heater, now with bigger stand and larger fan. 150F/65C output temps (similar to a home furnace vent). great little desktop space heater and very easy to make!
Uses a 12v/70w/6a PTC Ceramic 'ripple' heating element - along with a 12v/1.2w/0.1a 40x40x28mm hi-flow case fan. similar to one i did a couple of years ago but now has a bigger stand a more powerful fan and professional wires/connectors. works both 'on' and 'off-grid' so it can be powered using a 12v battery. *a lead acid 'deep cycle' battery or a lithium (LiFePO4) battery is best. ...it can also just be hooked straight to a 12v solar panel. total draw of unit is only 6.1 amps (6.1 ah/per hr) so it can be used in an automobile. just plug into the cars 12v power socket and you're 'good to go'.

*any 12v power socket that can deliver 6.1 amps or more will run it. the power socket in an auto is usually rated to 15 amps so you can run two units at the same time if you want to. Element: 12v/24v Ripple PTC Ceramic Air Heating Element. Fan: ARCTIC S4028 6K(rpm) 40x40x20mm. 12 gauge red/black wire. (all on amazon). square dowels from home depot.

note: I've recently started working on a larger 20 Amp Air Heating unit. biggest one i've ever made. I'm hoping to have that video out in 2 to 3 weeks (probably by mid November). Air temps are 200-210F (93C-100C) in early testing with a very strong breeze (dual fans with speed control). runs on LifePO4 batteries, 400 watts of solar panels or AC (with dedicated power supply).
