Recent open source imagery reveals that Russia has revived the M-55 “Geopsysica” high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft.

The test reportedly took place at the Ramenskoe airfield near Moscow, stirring intrigue and raising questions about the aircraft's new role. A special container, possibly containing UKR-RT (radio-technical reconnaissance equipment), is visible under the wing of this aircraft. The M-55 Geophysica attracts attention primarily because this aircraft was created in Soviet times precisely as a high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft for missile strikes.
