The first on the list is Afghanistan. Although the US left Afghanistan in August 2021, it still occasionally carries out airstrikes with drones and missiles on terrorist targets such as ISIS-K, an Afghan affiliate of the ISIS group.

Secondly, we have Iraq and Syria,
In 2014, US forces returned to Iraq under the Obama administration to combat the rising threat of the Islamic State, and they remain there today, alongside other allied forces. They also have a presence in neighboring Syria, where they work with anti-Assad rebels and Kurdish allies to fight ISIS in the region.

In Somalia, the U.S. is involved in the ongoing conflict against al-Qaida-affiliated al-Shabaab rebels. It provides funding and training to African forces that are fighting to support the weak central government in Mogadishu.

Next, we have Yemen where the U.S. is fighting against al-Qaida and the Islamic State with drone strikes.
