The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has a BIG challenge ahead of it. No, seriously. It's the very definition of big. Until now, the full-size pick-up truck only had to worry about the Ram 1500 in Australia, but that's about to change. Yep, the Ford F-150 and Toyota Tundra are coming soon.
All four American dual-cabs are built from factory in left-hand drive, before being exported to Australia, where they're 'remanufactured' to right-hand drive for local sales with approval and, more importantly, warranty coverage from their parent companies.
So, in preparation for the F-150 and Tundra's release, Chevrolet has updated the Silverado 1500 for model-year 2023. But has it done enough to keep it fresh in this highly competitive segment?
In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Dave Morley puts the Silverado 1500 through its paces on- and off-road to see if it's the one that deserves your hard-earned.
