Brining back old characters is a classic trope of TV, but sometimes it can feel cheap and just to please the audience. School Reunion does fan service but WITH MEANING, bridging the gap between the classic and modern series of Doctor Who, whilst also pushing the narrative forward. Lets look at why it works so well.
