Automatic drive through car washes are cheap and convenient, however everything cheap comes at the sacrifice of quality. Here's the reason you should avoid them. The brushes they use are not cleaned after every wash therefore they accumulate lots of dirt and grime, also they are very abrasive due to the speed at which they rotate, the amount of friction they apply, plus all the accumulated dirt and grime from all the cars that passed by. This results in scratching your paint (clear coat.) Although the scratches are tiny and unnoticeable at first, nevertheless they accumulate over time resulting in paint that is all scratched up, dull, and aesthetically displeasing. This is why you should avoid automatic drive-thru car washes. Other reasons include but are not limited to: they don't clean the brake dust off the inside of your wheels, they do a poor job at drying your vehicle, they leave missed areas, and streaky windows. We can provide a solution to your problem if you've started to notice the micro scratches and swirl marks on your paint after taking it to the car wash. We are able to polish out some or most of the swirl marks depending on the service you get and we can further protect your paint with a ceramic coating which is a semi permanent sacrificial layer of added protection. The ceramic coating not only protects your paint but it enhances it making it look glossier then new. This client worked for a dealership before and delivered hundreds of vehicles to her clients during her career but when she saw the final product she was so shocked to see results we provided and admitted she had never seen a vehicle so glossy and shiny even on brand new vehicles.
