When I made the serving piece for our dining room, it turned out better than I thought I was capable of...... and now my wife and I decided we wanted a mirror over the server. We thought about buying one, or maybe two or three smaller mirrors. I suggested making one to match the piece below it.
This video is that process from start to finish. Raw wood to mounting the mirror. I cheated a little- this time I bought S4S lumber from my local yard (surfaced on all four sides). While I do have a jointer which is necessary for a job like this, it can only joint up to a 6" piece of wood, and I was at that limit. So I decided to spend a little extra and let the yard use their commercial machinery to make my life easier.

Enjoy.
