Rock is a broad genre of popular music that originated in the early 1950s in the United States and would lead to a wide range of different styles. In the mid-1960s in England gave it a deeper style. The best era of Rock was between the 60s and 70s, in the 80s it was displaced by New Wave and Glam Metal.
