Despite the fact that Michigan claimed the 2023 National Championship in college football, it is not a hard argument to make that Georgia is still the king of the sport. The Bulldogs completely missed the 2023 College Football Playoff thanks to a 27-24 upset loss to Alabama in the SEC Championship game, but Kirby Smart's program was still a picture of dominance throughout the season, despite having lost a load of talent to the NFL after their second straight title in 2021.
