Hello and welcome to Spotlight K-Stars. Today we going to talk about 8 fascinating facts about K-drama actress Jung So Min. A little hint. Some of the things might shock you.

During the early years of her career, Jung So Min drew attention for resembling famous actress Yoon Eun Hye, and thus earned the nickname “Little Yoon Eun Hye”. Unfortunately, Jung So Min did not manage to experience the same popularity, and despite taking on numerous works after her graduation and constantly proving her abilities, none of the actress’ projects did well in the eyes of the general public back when she first started out. Personally i disagree with this as i always loved her early work but in the beginning of her career she did reveal she got a lot of criticism from many people.
She's an introvert. Although they live their lives in the public eye, not all celebrities are outgoing social butterflies. On one occasion, a fan asked So Min what her MBTI type was through Instagram stories. To this, she revealed that she's an INFJ, meaning she's an introvert.
She further expounded on this when she was asked to share about herself on a Korean talk show. The 33-year-old stated that she, "needs her own separate space, but since I live with my parents, there’s times I don’t feel comfortable even in my room. Emotionally, I need my own space and time to myself." She made her first acting debut in a short film starring Kim Soo Hyun
In 2009, So Min got her start via the short film Worst Friends, which was a project under the graduation workshop of her college's Department of Film. The movie fronted a fresh-faced Kim Soo Hyun as its main character, Jun-ki.
A year later, she co-starred in the revenge drama Bad Guy alongside Kim Nam Gil, Han Ga In, and Kim Jae Wook. She's also a singer
Aside from being an actress, So Min is also a gifted singer. In fact, she even contributed her vocals to the official soundtracks of two of her dramas, namely Because This Is My First Life and The Smile Has Left Your Eyes. The latter of the two was a duet with her leading man in the show, Seo In Guk. She graduated from the Korea National University of Arts
Despite already having her foot in the door, So Min still put her studies first before continuing her career. She took a brief break in 2011 in order to officially earn her degree from the Korea National University of Arts. Other notable alumni from the school include Kim Jung Hyun, Choi Sung Eun, and Yumi's Cells' actress Kim Go Eun. She her childhood dream was to become a radio DJ
One of the things on So Min's bucketlist when she was young was to become a radio DJ. Thankfully, she actually got to experience what it was like to be inside the booth! In 2018, she had a radio show titled Jung So Min's Young Street, which was broadcasted through SBS Power FM. On the program, she got to chat with the likes of Kim Jae Wook, DAY6.
A scandal-free career and regrettable romance
Over 10 years in the industry yet Jung So Min never gets involved into any controversy. Instead, she’s known for her hardworking attitude and friendly image, and the only gossip surrounding the actress is about her relationship with the talented idol-actor Lee Joon.
In particular, in October 2017, Dispatch unveiled that Jung So Min and Lee Joon were dating, to the great surprise of fans and the public. The couple, however, never received any negative response, and are well-loved for their great personalities, talents, and matching visuals.
Unfortunately, they separated 3 years later due to “busy schedules”, and decided to maintain a good relationship as colleagues and give each other support in their work.
