Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine, has been gaining popularity in recent years. The Indian government has been promoting the use of Ayurveda and other traditional systems of medicine under the AYUSH scheme. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, AYUSH has been used to fight the virus, highlighting the importance of traditional medicine. However, the Indian knowledge system of medicine is lagging behind, and there is a need to collect theses on Ayush to further develop the system. Additionally, there is a call to include AYUSH in the MBBS course to provide a more holistic approach to healthcare. Despite its growing popularity, tradition is not a part of pop culture, and there is a need to break the narrative of the usage of heavy metals in Ayurveda. With the government's budget for AYUSH and inspiration from prominent leaders like Modi Ji, the road ahead for Ayurveda and traditional medicine looks promising.
