Pasta Milano Recipe Demonstration

Ingredients:
1 lb. Italian sausage (or cooked chicken)
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 (12 oz.) package sliced mushrooms
1 C onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 C sun dried tomatoes, julienne cut
1 1/2 C heavy cream or half-and-half
1 Tbsp butter
1/2 C Parmesan cheese
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/4-1/2 C Pesto
1 lb. penne pasta

1. Start boiling water for the pasta and get sausage going on the grill
2. Prep 1 C chopped onions, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1/2 C sun dried tomatoes, 12 oz. mushrooms
3. Prep cream sauce in a mixing bowl: 1 1/2 C heavy cream, 1/2 C Parmesean cheese, 1 Tbsp butter, 1 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4-1/2 C pesto. Stir to combine
4. Add pasta to boiling water
5. Add 1 Tbsp olive oil to a large skillet on medium heat
6. Add onion, mushrooms, and sun dried tomatoes. Cook until soft
7. Add garlic and stir for a minute or two
8. Add sausage and cream sauce, stir and simmer for 3-4 minutes or until heated through
9. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat
