star I really needed to deep clean some key areas of our house today with an upcoming party we are hosting for our little boys birthday. We are lucky enough to have a house large enough that when we have extended family and friends over it isn't too much of a squeeze but I was very aware that there were some key areas I wanted to clean ready for people to come over at the weekend.

The main areas were the downstairs rooms, kitchen, living room and toilet. I really worked hard on deep cleaning the floors, kitchen counters and cupboards along with skirting boards (though I am pretty sure no one was going to get down on the floor to inspect them).

I think it is always nice for you and for those coming over to your home to put in a little effort. It was far from perfect but it was clean and presentable, which is what I always like to strive for.
