Crete is the largest of the Greek Islands. Crete has a population of 660,000 and an ancient history rooted in its Minoan and Dorian chapters. The Minoan Greeks, who were related to the Mycenaeans, founded many city states like Lato, Zakros, Knossos (with the Labyrinth and the Minotaur), Phaestos and Malia. The capital of Crete is the heroic city of Heraklion. Other cities are Chania, Rethymnon and Sitia. This aerial film captures the beauty in the middle of Crete with the amazing places of Hersonissos (Χερσόνησος), Malia (Μάλια), Matala (Μάταλα), Stalis (Σταλίδα), Sissi (Σίσι), Heraklion (Ηράκλειο) and Agia Pelagia (Αγία Πελαγία).
