The multi strand Matthew Walker knot is a valuable knot for making fancy lanyards, or key rings. This is the easiest to start out with. It has the fewest strands and is only a single Mattew Walker rather than the double. More and more strands can be added with the multi strand knot commonly found on ornate bell ropes.
