We rely on aircraft a huge amount in modern life, whether it be to transport us, or important goods, around the world far faster than ever before. Even though the first flight took place around 120 years ago, it’s now a tried and tested mode of travel, and the vast majority of aircraft take on the same basic shape and design. That doesn’t mean, though, that that’s the only way to do it… and, over the years, there have been a number of concepts and production models that have taken things in a different direction. From supersonic jets, to home built aircraft, and plenty more in between… it's time to take to the skies to reveal 15 unique plane wing designs.
