The real truth is that Cecilia and Robbie were never reunited: Robbie died of septicaemia at Dunkirk on the morning of the day he was to be evacuated, and Cecilia died months later in a bombing at central Balham tube station during the Blitz.

Atonement (2007) SYNOPSIS: On July 15, 1988 -- the day of their college graduation -- two people from opposite sides of the tracks begin a lifelong friendship.
