With the wood stove operational, it's time to start working on the next build project for the cabin - the LOFT! I have salvaged an old washed up dock from the bottom of the property at the water level, transported those materials up the mountain, and then back down again to the cliff cabin. This is what I am using to build the sleeping loft with. I've had it in my head to use those materials for the loft for a while, and also for a while I wasn't sure I was going to be able to pull it off, but alas, I think I can I think I can!
I have a small window of opportunity to go out to that cabin after about 3-4 days away, visiting family in the Okanagan. We will spend the night in the cabin, the first night with the wood stove working 😊. It definitely pumps out the heat, and is working like it should now. I do need to do a bit more spray foaming as I can see some gaps in the blocking and also in a few spots with the windows, but it kept me pretty warm. It does require a fair amount of babysitting, but that is to be expected with such a small stove.

I do run out of time and can't complete the loft this time, but I think (🤞🏼) I should be able to get it complete the next time.
