Inspired by the tragic events in his early life, Jackson C. Frank released “Blues Run the Game” in 1965 which appeared on his first and only record, produced by Paul Simon. We originally covered this song during the early days of the pandemic in one of our weekly streams. This song was requested then, and since we began our cover of the month series, it has been requested again. A beautiful and timeless ballad.
