In this video we bring you lots of progress from our extension build. We start of with laying the block and beam, showing you cutting concrete beams using a Hilti dsh 600x petrol saw, and then putting the infill blocks between beams and the slip bricks around the perimeter. There is more timelapse bricklaying from Alex as the walls are brought up to block level, and later Alex will fill wall cavity with 5 in 1 concrete mix so he can then get on with laying the ytong 7n blocks internally. John's main job is doing the groundworks which involves new drainage installation and he shows you how to move a manhole. Tony and John excavate with the Yanmar vio17 and break up concrete with the Bosch GSH27vc and Joe gets involved with his new ox pro mini round point shovel. The guys dig out creating a new manhole and lay new sewer pipe connecting plastic soil pipe to clay using a flexseal AC4000 connector with the new drain connection in place, John makes a temporary inspection chamber cover and all pipes are covered in pea gravel. lastly John has the job of digging concrete footing and adding a few rebar to form a concrete pad for the lintel over the pipework. Joe is mixing concrete for the footing and for John to flaunch pipes.

PLEASE NOTE: we’ll endeavour to answer questions and comments as soon as possible depending on our work schedules.
