Waymo One is Google's self-driving robotaxi service, currently deployed for public use in Chandler, Arizona. It works like Uber, and passengers select a destination from the app, and the vehicle takes you there. It's weird for about 30 seconds and then you get used to it. If I weren't filming, I would have just been on TikTok, probably!

The driving experience is something like a new 17-year-old driving — a bit jerky, but ultimately it felt safe. The unprotected left towards the end was a touch alarming, but the car was pulling out so its lidar sensors could see up the road.
