VIDEO DESCRIPTION
600cc Supersport class is not dead! Discontinuation of the Yamaha R6 got people talking but Honda brought the new generation 2022 CBR600RR to several countries, Kawasaki got the 2022 Kawasaki ZX6R with the same specs as 2021, Suzuki also confirmed it's 2022 GSXR600 line up as well. In the video I dispel the rumors and share confirmed availability, price comparison and specs comparison of all the 4 major 600cc bikes. At the end of the video I also talk about other options that may be of interest to sport bike lovers.

USA does get the 2022 Yamaha R6 GYTR, UK gets the 2021 Yamaha R6 Race and the existing 2020 Yahama R6 . Australia gets the 2021 Honda CBR600RR. Kawasaki ZX6R is also available in USA & Australia. 600cc Supersports motorcycles are not going away just yet.

The Yamaha R6 has indeed been discontinued but in the US & Australia, you can still buy the existing 2021 model and for 2022, there is a Yamaha R6 GYTR or Yamaha R6 Race variant coming to US & UK respectively.

The CBR600RR in it's current form is going to be discontinued but an updated, 2021 CBR600RR with new electronics and more power has been launched in Japan, indonesia, Thailand and Australia. There is also a race variant that will be available in near future.

The Kawasaki ZX6R is also available in USA & Australia, but it has been discontinued in India and UK and most of the European countries. Kawasaki has now confirmed a 2022 ZX6R which is the same as 2021 ZX6R just with new colors.

Suzuki has already announced launching several new models for 2022 including the 2022 GSX600RR.

So the picture isn't as bad as it's being made out to be on mainstream automotive media outlets. Aren't we glad about that.

So I'm happy to report that 600cc motorcyles are not dying just yet especially to people who are asking "why are 600cc motorcycles discontinued". Atleast not just yet.

Enjoy the 600cc Supersport shootout as I compare the specifications of the latest variants of each of the motorcycles.
