Home Charging - Getting the charger installed

 Published On Dec 24, 2022

When I decided to get the EQS, I knew the only way to "live" with an electric car was to have a Level 2 charger (fully charges the car in 11 hours, vs a Level 1 that would take nearly 30 hours) installed in our home. Our house was built in 1972-1973 and only had 60-amp output... the Level 2 charger requires 48-amps. So, our electrician, from Triangle Electric in Raleigh, upgraded our house to 200-amps and then installed a Wallbox Pulsar Plus (https://wallbox.com/en_us/ - not a sponsor). The result is I can fully charge my car (over 300 miles) for roughly $10 from the comfort of my home.
